Check me out!

I know my project is already one third of the way done but I finally have my website up and running. The site is called Constant Challenge.

The game will not be over once I finish my 30 Day Photography Challenge. I will continue to come up with new ways to challenge and better myself and will share it on constantchallenge.com. I have learned so much in just the few weeks I have been putting this site together with oh-so-much help from friends. So go have a peek and tell me what you think.

We're getting close to the end

Here is an interview with Andrew Wicklander, the father of the Ideal Project first follower party, by one of my fellow first followers Deb Walsh. Thank you Deb for doing such a good job.

I have been having a difficult time finding the words to explain what it is exactly that we are doing in this project, probably because I am not entirely sure myself, but I'm jumping in feet first.

I have been spending most of my nights figuring out the logistics of my 30 Day Portrait Inspiration Project and it has been exhausting and exhilarating. I have been bouncing ideas off of my good friends and planning my attack. I think I am on the right track. (hey that rhymes)

Anyway, stay tuned over the next day or two for details about the launch.

30 days of ideas is winding down and 30 days of implementation is revving up

Well, the thirty days of ideas of the first follower party is winding down. Seven more to go.

I'm getting excited about my thirty day portait project. I have make-up, a new camera, and ideas at the ready.

Do you want to play? Start a thirty day project of your own. Andrew is learning how to code just so he can execute his project. He has created a calendar type website where you can share your progress. He would love to launch the site with at least 100 people logging their progress every day. It will be fun, I promise.

Come on creative people, that thirty days will just fly by. You know you want to.

See there? I even said please. shoot me an email at 30daycheryl (at) gmail.com if you want to join the fun.

ideal project, first followers party: more than half way there

I am so glad I stumbled across Andrews blog when I did because I am loving the experience of being a first follower. I love getting to see the brainstorming process from the inside out. Andrew has had many good ideas so far and I wish that I had the skills to implement more of them.

See all of Andrews ideas here.

I'm looking forward to starting my 30 day portrait/inspiration project beginning April first. I'm still trying to figure out exactly how I'm going to make it work in a way that will generate revenue for our charity but I am sure I will figure it out.
I am still open to brainstorming with folks on Google Wave, so if you need an invite let me know.

Ideal project ideas 1 week in

When I joined the first follower dance party I wondered if there would be an idea thrown out there that I could actually implement with my skillset. Andrew has posted seven ideas so far and I look forward to seeing what else he comes up with. His day five idea is a thirty day numberless calendar project. Once again I have been called out for my self portraits. How do I implement it? Just off the top of my head I'm thinking of taking a self portrait every day for thirty days paired with inspirtional text. At the end of that thirty days I could create postcards, posters, or a small book. The portraits I take are like therapy. Letting what is inside show on the outside. Letting what is simmering inside of me bubble to the surface. I believe that is what has drawn so many people to them. I'm not completely sure how I'm going to do it exactly but I'm open to ideas. Anyone want to brainstorm on Google Wave?

An Ideal Project and a leap of faith

About a week ago I stumbled upon this blog post from the Ideal Project Group blog:

http://www.projectidealism.com/2010/02/dance-party.html

The general idea is that I am committing to blog about the yet unknown project to give it momentum with any proceeds from the resulting project going to charity. Pretty cool. I decided to join the party. Sometimes you just have to leap and figure it out as you go along. It is all a big mystery, and I normally hate surprises, but I believe something good will come of it. There are just two days left to join if you want to dance too.
